2. What to Bring (Your Race Day Checklist)
To make sure you’re ready to roll from the moment you step out of the car, pack these essentials:
- Your Race Bib: Collect your bib at the precinct before the race.
- Hydration Vessel: A hydration pack or handheld bottle holding a minimum of 500mL (mandatory for all runners).
- Footwear: Comfortable running shoes.
- Sun Protection: Hat and sunscreen.
- Sustenance & Support: Cash or card for Minnie’s Espresso and the Run with Rob charity sausage sizzle.
- Post-Run Swimmers & Towel: Optional, but highly recommended if you fancy a dip in the reservoir after you cross the finish line!
3. Location & Parking
- Staging Area: Enoggera Reservoir, accessed off Waterworks Road, The Gap.
- Visual Map: Plan your approach using the SEQ Trail Running Series Enoggera Reservoir Parking Map.
Parking Hierarchy
- Within the SEQ Water staging area until full.
- Within the adjacent Park-and-Ride facility on Waterworks Road.
- Legally parked on surrounding public streets.
⚠️ Strict Rule: Do not drive to the end of Payne Road to park. This is a private residential community and unauthorized parking causes major friction with local homeowners.
4. Safety & Guidelines
- Hydration Carry (Mandatory): Both short and long course participants must carry a hydration pack or bottle capable of holding a minimum of 500mL of fluids. Marshals may check at the start line.
- Cup-Free & Water: This is a cup-free event with no on-course water stations. Water is available pre-event at the precinct, and Fixx Nutrition will be available post-event.
- Medical Support: Professional medics will be present on-site throughout the event for any safety or first-aid needs.
- Youth & Supervision: Runners under 12 years of age must be directly supervised for the duration of the event by a parent or guardian who is also officially entered in the same distance.
- Withdrawing: If you drop out mid-race for any reason, you must notify Race HQ immediately so we don’t launch an unnecessary search.
- No Bib Swapping: Never run under another runner’s bib. Accurate emergency tracking relies completely on correct runner data.
5. Course & Navigation
- Distances & Format: Short Course (8.4km) & Long Course (12.9km). This is an out-and-back course format.
- Course Maps: Preview the routes and elevation profiles via the Strava Course Maps and Event Details.
Course Markings
- The track is flagged with reflective yellow and pink tape.
- Long Course follows Pink Arrows at junctions.
- Short Course follows Blue Arrows at junctions.
- Along with clear trail signage, dedicated course marshals will be stationed at the turnaround points to let you know when to head back.
- Keep to the left-most side of all trails.

Etiquette
- Headphones are not encouraged. With runners converging on the trail network, we need you to be able to hear each other, instructions from marshals, and other trail users.
- Trails remain open to the public—please be courteous to other park users, mountain bikers, and walkers.
- No dogs are allowed at SEQ Trail Series events.
- Littering or straying off the marked path results in immediate disqualification.
6. Bibs, Merch, Timing & Photos
- Bib Collection: Pick up your bib at the precinct between 5:20 AM and 6:10 AM. Wear it on your front and keep it visible at all times to ensure you get an official time.
- Event Singlets: Pre-ordered singlets will be available for pickup at the bib collection tent. Haven’t ordered yours yet? You can grab your singlet here.
- Results & Photos: Official timing results and professional photography links will be published on Sunday afternoon over at the SEQ Trail Series Results & Photos Hub. Tag your photos with @thoseguysevents and #SEQTRS.
7. Event Precinct & Facilities
- Toilets: Available at the event precinct. Please use them before the briefing as there are no toilets on the course.
- Bag Storage: There are no secure left-luggage facilities; please plan to store items in your vehicle.
- Coffee & Food: Minnie’s Espresso will be on-site for fresh coffee, and Run with Rob will be hosting a classic sausage sizzle with cold drinks.
